Floor indicators
Floor indicators improve safety and mobility
Floor indicators in accordance with DIN 32984 (2020-12) guide blind and visually impaired people in public areas. The structures must be tactile, i.e. perceptible with feet or a long cane, or visually perceptible. They not only warn of obstacles, but also have a guiding function. This enables blind and visually impaired people to orientate themselves independently. Floor guidance systems consist of a combination of ribs as guidance strips and studs as attention and branching fields.
